You write the pages that have to rank and convert: service pages for clinics in Ontario, product and category copy for Shopify stores selling into Australia, and technical explainers about the AI chatbot and CRM that Redenn runs in production. Everything ships in British or Canadian English, for readers who can tell the difference.
Why this role
Your work goes live on a real client's domain within days instead of sinking into a backlog of forty blog posts nobody will read, and three months later you get to see exactly which pages pulled the traffic.
A normal week
- You write a 1,200 word service page for a Canadian clinic, then rewrite the meta title three times because it has to earn the click.
- You interview one of our developers for twenty minutes so a piece about the chatbot is accurate rather than vague.
- You go through Search Console with the SEO team and refresh two pages stuck at the bottom of page one.
- You edit a colleague's draft and cut every sentence that reads like it was generated in a hurry.
What you’ll do
- Write service pages, landing pages, case studies and articles for client sites and for Redenn's own site.
- Turn keyword research and briefs into copy that reads like a person wrote it for a person.
- Write about web development, AI systems and CRM workflows accurately enough that our engineers do not flinch.
- Hold the line on British and Canadian English: spelling, tone, currency, local references.
- Edit and proofread other writers' drafts before anything goes live.
What we’re looking for
- 1 to 3 years writing for the web, with published work you can show us.
- You write British or Canadian English well enough that a Toronto client never notices you are not local.
- Solid grasp of SEO basics: search intent, headings, internal links, meta descriptions.
- You research before you write and you ask when you do not understand the technology.
- You treat AI tools as a drafting assistant, not as the writer.
Nice to have (not required)
- A background in technology, engineering or science writing; a strong generalist who reads fast will do fine too.
- Experience writing for healthcare, legal or trades clients, where accuracy and claims actually matter.
- Basic WordPress or CMS experience, easily picked up here if you do not have it.
