SEO that's baked into the build, not bolted on after

Real SEO is built into the site at construction. Schema, sitemap, Core Web Vitals, hyperlocal pages, E-E-A-T โ€” no retainers, no add-ons. Free audit.

โ˜… Schema ยท sitemap ยท Core Web Vitals ยท hyperlocal pages ยท E-E-A-T ยท No retainers ยท Audit from $0

A small business in Mississauga pays a Toronto SEO agency $1,200 a month. Twelve months in, organic traffic is up 14% (about what it would have grown anyway), three blog posts have been ghost-written by a freelancer, and the site still loads in 5.8 seconds on mobile. The cancellation email arrives. The agency books two new clients to replace them.

This is the SEO industry's open secret: most retainers don't move the needle, because most sites are unrankable to begin with. You can't optimise content on a site that takes 6 seconds to render. You can't build authority on a domain whose schema is broken. You can't capture long-tail queries when the architecture has zero hyperlocal pages.

We don't sell SEO retainers. We build sites that rank, and the SEO is part of the build.

Why most SEO retainers fail (and ours doesn't exist)

The retainer model has a structural problem: the agency's incentive is to keep the relationship going, not to fix the site so well it doesn't need them anymore. So they focus on the parts that look like activity (blog posts, link building) instead of the parts that move rankings (technical foundation, page speed, schema, hyperlocal architecture).

Our model: we charge once to build a site that ranks. Then we hand it to you and walk away. If you want help with content over time, that's a Care Plan โ€” separate, optional, no lock-in.

"If your SEO agency is making more money in year three than year one, that's a feature for them. It's a bug for you."

What "SEO" actually means in 2026

Google's ranking factors have consolidated around four things, in roughly this order of weight:

  1. E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trust) โ€” the dominant 2026 factor. Your site needs to demonstrate that a real human with real expertise wrote what's on it.
  2. Core Web Vitals โ€” LCP, INP, CLS. Sites that fail these get demoted, regardless of content quality.
  3. Topical depth โ€” does your domain comprehensively cover its niche, or is it a brochure?
  4. Backlinks from authoritative domains โ€” still counts, but worth less than five years ago.

Most "SEO retainers" focus only on #4. We focus on all four during the build, then hand you the site.

What we ship in every project SEO-wise

This is the floor โ€” every Redenn site, even Starter tier, gets all of these:

  • Schema markup (Organization, BreadcrumbList, Article, Service, FAQPage where applicable, RealEstateAgent / Physician / LegalService for the relevant industries)
  • Sitemap.xml with auto-update on every published change
  • Robots.txt correctly configured (allow public, disallow admin/auth/api)
  • Canonical URLs on every page (prevents duplicate-content issues)
  • Meta descriptions unique per page, 140โ€“160 char range
  • Open Graph + Twitter Card for social sharing
  • Hreflang for multi-region sites
  • Performance budget (LCP < 1.5s on 4G, Lighthouse 95+ mobile)
  • WCAG 2.1 AA (Google rewards accessibility โ€” same audience overlap)
  • Internal linking strategy (every page reachable in โ‰ค 3 clicks from the homepage)
  • Search Console + Analytics wired and verified before launch

The hyperlocal city-pages playbook (when it applies)

For service-business clients (realtors, dentists, contractors, lawyers, physios), the highest-ROI SEO move is one ranked page per neighbourhood you serve. Our standard pattern:

  • 8โ€“46 city pages depending on your service area
  • Each page: schools, transit, parks, average sale price (realtors), service-specific local context
  • Original commentary refreshed quarterly via auto-generated market reports
  • Internal links from blog posts โ†’ city pages โ†’ service pages

This is how a Toronto realtor went from one inquiry/year to twelve/month off eight neighbourhood pages in five months. (See the Canadian realtors blog post for the full case.)

Pricing

  • Built into every project at no extra cost โ€” Starter, Business, Ecommerce, Webapp tiers all ship with the SEO foundation listed above.
  • Standalone audit โ€” $0 for sites we'd consider rebuilding. We send a one-page report (load time, SEO foundation, three highest-leverage opportunities) within two business days. No catch.
  • Hyperlocal city-pages campaign โ€” quoted separately for clients who want to add 20+ city pages to an existing Redenn site. Typically $4,000โ€“$12,000 depending on scope.
  • No retainers. We don't do them. If you need ongoing content help, that's a Care Plan (here).

What this looks like in practice

  • Toronto realtor in East York โ€” 8 neighbourhood pages, ranked #1 for "East York realtor" in 5 months, 12 inbound inquiries/month. Originally one a year.
  • Mississauga dental practice โ€” schema markup + 4 service-specific landing pages, page-1 ranking for "dental implants Mississauga" in 7 months.
  • Brampton plumbing company โ€” 14 city pages across the GTA, shifted from 4 leads/month to 31. (See /work for the case.)
